Marijuana legalization is a new reality

Its official, marijuana legalization has passed in Colorado and Washington.  Who would have known that we would be moving this fast towards legalization in some states? In Massachusetts the use of medical marijuana passed.  Now before some of you get all worked up about the legalization of the smoking of this plant remember it is a plant that has been shown to improve people’s glaucoma and dull peoples pains along with calming them down.  People that are smoking marijuana don’t have the same effects as a person who drank too much throwing up all over the bathroom.  Read more..... 

Mark Cuban offers $1 million to Donald Trump accepts his offer

The million dollar offers just keep coming.  The latest offer Donald Trump has received is from Mark Cuban for Donald Trump to shave his head to give money to the victims of Hurricane Sandy.  This exchange was through Twitter and Donald Trump has gone on a tirade on Mark Cuban since Mark gave Donald the offer.  Here is some of what Donald Trump Tweeted to Mark Cuban:

Only 1 mill. Dollars @mcuban? Offer me real money and I’d consider it.  Your team and networks lose so much money I doubt you have any left!

Romney forgets to fact check himself

The Romney team ran ads in Ohio suggesting that Jeep would be packing up and moving to China.  He also spoke about this
suggesting that this was the case.  Romney got the story from an article in Bloomberg.  Romney made a major misstatement over the Jeep story that is surely going to put him in the doghouse again since is videotaped 47% statement.  Read more....

Larry Flynt's offer for Mitt Romney Information

According to Adweek Larry Flynt has offered up to 1 million dollars to anyone who has information on Mitt Romney’s “unreleased tax returns and/or details of his offshore assets, bank accounts and business partnerships.”  He ran these ads in USA Today and the Washington Post.  The democrats may have made this a bigger story if he were not affiliated with such a controversial business in pornography. Read more.....

One of the most unfair stories ever told

Everyone has heard all of the joking stories about how an old lady burned herself with a cup of coffee and sued McDonald's.  Everyone has heard the stories that you can sue anyone for just about anything and get away with suing them.  What many people don’t know is the truth of what happened when Mrs. Liebeck got burned and sued McDonald's.  There is a quote that could explain why this story got so out of hand we never got the opportunity to hear what really happened.  This quote is by Winston Churchill: “A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its pants on.”  We are all guilty of jumping to conclusions without ever knowing the whole story of anything.  Here are some misconceptions that many of us have heard about the old lady that sued McDonald's and what really happened.  Read more........

Vice Presidential debate entertaining as expected

Vice President Biden’s debate against Paul Ryan outshines President Obama’s debate against Mitt Romney. Vice President Biden looked much more comfortable than his boss with confident smiles and an immediate answer for every issue Paul Ryan argued.  Vice President Biden went places that President Obama should have gone with an attack on Mitt Romney’s 47% statement several times.  Vice President Biden did a good job in his debate by cutting off Ryan much more often than Obama cut off Romney.   Vice President Biden appeared to really enjoy the debate in many moments.

Vice President Biden clearly had an upper-hand on foreign policy with the Obama administration’s dealing with Iran, Syria and much of the middle-east.  Vice President Biden even attacked Paul Ryan on asking for more money for his home state when it came to cutting spending suggesting towards Paul Ryan being a hypocrite of over-spending.  Ryan dodged tax question on their actual plan and said he wants to work bi-partisan but still spoke with no specific plan.  Vice President Biden quickly disagreed most of what Paul Ryan said. Paul Ryan defends his idea for continued spending on defense.  Read more........

Chris Mathews rips President Obama over debate

Chris Mathews, an employee for MSNBC with his well-known show Hardball, had some unkind words for President Obama after his first debate against presidential hopeful Mitt Romney. This is what he had to say in his interview on the Rachel Maddow show:

"I don't know what he was doing out there," Matthews said. "He had his head down, he was enduring the debate rather than fighting it. Romney, on the other hand, came in with a campaign. He had a
plan, he was going to dominate the time, he was going to be aggressive, he was going to push the moderator around, which he did effectively, he was going to relish the evening, enjoying it."  Read more....

Are you afraid of employers looking at your Facebook profile online?  You like many people should feel concerned about this action.  The creation of an online profile on a social network such as Facebook is public and employers are looking. 
A 2009 survey by CareerBuilder.com showed that out of 2,600 hiring people surveyed that 45% of them were looking into applicants social network profiles.  Now what is even less
encouraging is that a 2010 survey by Jobvite.com found that out of 600 human resource people and job recruiters that 80% believed that social media will become a part of the recruiting process in the future.  Read more.....

Make room for the new state of Puerto Rico is possible but doesn’t sound likely.  Puerto Ricans voted for statehood for the first-time ever with possible controversy with the clarity of the questions on the ballet. The decision according to the Puerto Rico secretary of state comes from economic factors affecting Puerto Rico.

North Korea opening new hotel

Pyongyang's Ryugyong Hotel, which construction started in the 1980’s, will possibly be open within a year.  The hotel is to be
managed by Reto Wittwer who is Kempinski AG Chief Executive Officer.  Kempinski is a company based out of Germany.  Although this hotel is set to be up and running after decades of construction Americans are still advised not to travel through North Korea.

John Koster's views on rape and abortion

John Koster believes that there is no justification for abortion. 
He said it with his own words Sunday that he believes that rape is not a reason for a woman to get an abortion.  John Koster is currently a GOP candidate for The House of Representatives. 

According to the Seattle Times “Fuse Washington, a liberal organization based in Seattle, secretly audio-taped Koster speaking frankly about abortion over the weekend at an Everett fundraiser.”

Donald Trump is at it again with President Obama.  According to CNN Trump “said he would donate $5 million to charity if the president released his college records and passport applications.”    

"I have a deal for the president, a deal that I don't believe he can refuse, and I hope he doesn't. If Barack Obama opens up and gives his college records and applications and if he gives his passport applications and records, I will give to a charity of his choice - inner city children in Chicago, American Cancer Society, AIDS research, anything he wants–a check immediately for $5 million," said Trump.  Read more........

Expect fireworks in the Vice Presidential candidate debate

Many people can say that the previous debate of President Obama and Mitt Romney was disappointing if you are a Democrat and relieving if you are a Republican.  Don’t expect the next debate to fall short of a cage fight. Joe Biden has served the public as a politician for almost 40 years.  There should be plenty of pressure on the younger Paul Ryan to hold his own against Biden.  Paul Ryan has been in Washington for a long time but hasn’t had the experience of  Joe Biden who has previously ran for president.  Now that the first debate is over, it was very likely studied by both sides with Vice President Biden having a clear-path opportunity to attack Paul Ryan on the plan that he and Romney have that has yet to be clearly explained.  Read more.........

Being sued after making it big doesn’t seem out of the ordinary anymore, but the former manager of Pawn Stars might have a legitimate grudge.  According to TMZ the former manager got the Pawn Shop the deal with A&E and the History channel back in 2007. Read more....

This presidential race is officially going to be competitive if there was doubt that Mitt Romney had a chance of winning before.  Despite is 47% remarks; he looks stronger than he ever looked in the public’s eye, going head to head with President Obama in their first televised debate before the election.  When PBS’s moderator tried to cut him off he talked over him to get his point across fighting to get his argument out there.  Despite all of his fight President Obama still spoke longer than Mitt Romney.  Had Mitt Romney not fought to get his words out President Obama may have dominated the debate time with 10 minutes more of speak time.

Do the 47% really exist Mitt?

Do the 47% really exist? With a country full of a variety of people that work in the fields of business, education, finance, government, military, food services, construction and engineering, wouldn’t it make sense that we all need each other to sustain this country and sustain ourselves to live happy and prosperous.  When Mitt Romney made that comment he should have mentioned the 100%
percent instead of 47% because we all need each other to sustain our lives to be truly happy. Did he forget that he was talking about me; a US Army veteran did two tours to Iraq?  Am I not contributing enough to society Mitt Romney?  I go to school with the Post 911 GI Bill, my medical comes from the VA and hope that one day I can contribute a lot more to society with a business that I want to build with the help of the US.     Read more....
